Yet Another Designer Collaboration

Gryson Skye image via www.gryson.com

Fashion Week Daily broke the news yesterday that Gryson will be the next accessories designer to do a capsule collection for Target's Go International. The collection will launch in 2008 and is being previewed to long lead press (read: fashion editors at major magazines) in two weeks.

Personally, I find the majority of these designer collaborations to be sorely disappointing in person...cuts, fabrics and special details make designer clothing and accessories worth the indulgence. And unfortunately, those are the three easiest ways to cut expenses when manufacturing.

What do you think? Are you still excited about designer collaborations like Gryson for Target?

When did Kelly Osbourne get so smoking hot? Love this look!

Winning Day Dresses at ASOS

I still love ASOS for a cheap fix...on my radar today are these 2 dresses for day. I envision them with a nice opaque tight and flat or low heeled knee high boots, as this has become my uniform for fall. It's the lazy girl's solution.

New to the Neighborhood - Madewell

It's funny but I had literally just been thinking that I need something, anything, to replace my J.Crew obsession. Et voila, along came Madewell. Kid sister to J.Crew (though they may cringe to hear me say it), Madewell has a more casual, downtown style and styles come in at a reasonable pricepoint.

In early 2008, Madewell will be opening rumored-to-be fab permanent location on the corner of Broome & Broadway. However, for the time being, an interim store is open now at 532 Broadway (just a few blocks up) to give New Yorkers a sneak peak for the holidays. If you've checked out the Madewell store, leave a comment below and let us know what you thought. It's next on my list for a visit (right along with Muji!)...

Pierre Hardy for Gap

Pierre Hardy's lovely, luxurious shoes are one of my first stops when I visit Barney's to gawk. They are feminine, with a hint of whimsy and strong architectural influences. And now, images from Hardy's collaboration with the Gap have surfaced. The shoes will be available in Spring and will retail for $78 to $98 at 75 select Gap stores.
