Could it be true? Mediabistro's article on Harper's Bazaareditor-in-chief Glenda Bailey says that the former punk rocker, now fashionista was among the inspirations for Brit hit series Absolutely Fabulous. Could it be true? If so, this instantly elevates her in my eyes.
On Thursday, September 6th, 2007, Alison Kelly took to the exclusive Nolcha runway at the Silhouette Fashion Award competition. Unveiling her Spring ’08 collection - Dahl by Alison Kelly - to an audience of fashion elite and international press, the former Project Runway contestant, showed a young, high-energy and eminently wearable collection.
Dahl by Alison Kelly took an upbeat approach while staying true to its signature fierce, yet romantic quality that her previous line embodied. Using colors such as red vermillion and buttery yellow, her new collection offers an array of elegant, yet playful ensembles that seamlessly fold and flow across the body.
Kelly said of her inspiration for her line: “I dreamt of China in 1920, there was a woman sitting next to an elegantly dressed gentleman in an old Rolls Royce, she was the image of beauty, wearing a beautiful gown of sage green, jewels and lacquered hair. Her eminence comes to life in this collection.” says Kelly.
What do you think, dear reader?

I find myself inexplicably drawn to this 100% recycled 10-k gold squirrel pendant from Cheeky Monkey Jewelry. It's definitely not worth the price (despite the sparkly diamond bezel) but it sure is cute ($500.00).
