Cheap Thrill: Rebecca Minkoff Delight Bag for mark

Rebecca Minkoff has long been a designer that I admire - not only for her amazing personal style, or the totes gorge bags, accessories, shoes and apparel that she designs, but also because, at her core, she's an entrepreneur.  That was validated for me tonight at a very special event at the Mondrian SoHo to celebrate her new collaboration with mark.

Seen above with former CNBC correspondent and personal finance expert Nicole Lapin, Minkoff answered fashion and business questions from bloggers and mark representatives alike, and ALSO introduced us to the new, mark-exclusive Delight bag. A STEAL at just $60, it looks as luxe (seriously!) as a bag from Minkoff's signature collection, but with a few compromises made in terms of fabrication - meaning, yes, it's pleather, not leather.

I love the Delight for its versatility - try wearing it with the strap tucked in as an oversized clutch, cross-body or on your shoulder - it's generously sized to go from day to night and even better are the super-edgy details, including studding and an oversized buckle.

Snag the Delight bag online at mark or through your local mark representative!

Cheap Thrill: L'Oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator Mascara

L'Oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator Mascara, Black Bronze

My quest for the perfect mascara is a lot like Monty Python's quest for the Holy Grail or Giuliana Rancic's quest for a sandwich. Arduous, hilarious and seemingly never-ending. But just when I've come close to GIVING UP ENTIRELY, a dark horse comes up from behind and takes the lead. In this case, L'Oreal's new Double Extend Eye Illuminator Mascara.

This NEW mascara boasts a double-ended barrel that houses a one-two punch for lashes; an ultra-lengthening (no clumps to be seen here, yo!) formula in classic black on one end, and a specially-formulated, eye-illuminating hue on the other. The illuminating top coat is infused with "light-reflecting pearls" (I know, I know...) that highlight your eye color, thanks to a a clever sphere tip brush that makes it oh-so-simple to hit just the tips of lashes.

As of late, I've embraced the Black/Bronze duo seen above, which was specifically created to make green eyes like mine look even greener. It works, homies, it works.

If longer lashes and an "illuminated" eye color sounds appealing to you, snag L'Oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminator Mascara for $10.95 at drugstore.com or at a drugstore or mass market retailer near you.

FTC Disclosure: I attended a L'Oreal press event, where I received product samples for editorial consideration.

Cheap Thrill: Meredith Kahn for mark.

I'm a humungo fan of Meredith Kahn's amazing Made Her Think collection, but as is the case with many of my obsessions, it's quite expensive (a small impediment in the acquisition process). Thankfully, the designer has partnered with the good folks at mark. to create a capsule collection of four limited edition jewelry pieces that incorporate the spirit of her signature line at a MUCH more accessible price point.

While there's also a fab necklace, bracelet and earrings, this sweet Feather Knuckle Duster Ring is my clear favorite. It's vintage-inspired with a faux pearl accent, but covers two fingers- very au courant.  Available in gold or silver tone and just $14, you can afford to snag one in each color for a nice little jewelry box update this fall.

Meredith Kahn for mark. ranges in price from $14 - $20. To shop the collection, click here!

Cheap Thrill: Sonia Kashuk Out of the Woods Brush Set

After meeting countless makeup artists and experimenting with more beauty products than I could count in a lifetime, I'm convinced that a flawless look is all in the tools and the technique. And while it's worth splurging on quality brushes (after all, if you take care of them, they'll last for YEARS), if you don't have to spend a ton, why would you?

A question for the ages, I know. And it's finally been answered by Sonia Kashuk, whose Target-exclusive beauty collection really excels in the brush category, most notably with the new Out of the Woods Brush Set.

Tucked in a borderline chic, reusable cork clutch are 6 high quality brushes, comprised of natural wood and soft synthetic hair (perfect for you animal lovers and veggies in the world!). For under $20, your proverbial application bases are covered, from eyes to cheek to lips. While I still use a mix of brands (including Laura Mercier and M·A·C), I've been using the large blush brush from this collection daily, and thus far, it's holding up beautifully!

Cheap Thrill: Suave Mango Mandarin Body Wash

As discussed many times on this blog, I'm an equal opportunity lover of all things beautiful. Simply put, the price tag on an item doesn't dictate how much I'll love it, instead I focus on the EXPERIENCE, which is, unfortunately, where many inexpensive products fall short.

Not Suave's new Mango Mandarin Body Wash, though. This luscious new shower gel boasts mandarin and mango extracts, which infuse it with a zesty, refreshing scent, ripe for Spring mornings. It's also chock-full of vitamin E, which leaves skin gently conditioned. And at just $3.49 for a generous 12 ounce bottle, you'll have enough dough left over to delegate to a seasonal style refresh.

Snag this at drugstores nationwide or online at www.drugstore.com.

FTC Disclosure: I recently attended a launch event to celebrate Suave's Mango Mandarin Body Wash, where the brand plied me with themed cocktails, a hand massage and a mango and mandarin candy bar. They obviously know the way to my heart. That said, all reviews are unbiased. If I wouldn't BUY a product with my hard-earned money, I won't write about it.

Cheap Thrill: Vaseline Sheer Infusion

When it comes to body moisturizers, I'm usually on the luxe train, while the drugstore car passes me by. But Vaseline's recent Sheer Infusion launch has *almost* made me change my mind.

While most moisturizers do one of two things,

They sit on the top layers of your skin, leaving a greasy film.

OR

They sink through too quickly, before skin is thoroughly hydrated.

Sheer Infusion is a little different. The formula uses something called Stratys-3™ to "infuse and suspend superior moisture across all layers of your skin."

I've been testing the product for several days and I can attest that it leaves skin feeling ultra-hydrated yet silky smooth. My only complaint is that while light, the three fragrances available - Botanical Blend, Vitamin Burst, and Mineral Renewal - aren't all that sophisticated. That said, the scents don't linger on skin, so with winter approaching, I'm happy to put choose results over olfactory delight.

You can snag Vaseline Sheer Infusion at mass retailers nationwide. For more information and a $1.50 coupon, visit www.vaselinesheerinfusion.com.
