So, remember a couple of weeks ago when I posted my review of the Cynthia Vincent for Target wedges? Well, whether you do or you don't, know that I made good on my promise to snag a PROPER pair of black wedges from her collection. They arrived via Shopbop earlier this week and are so comfy and chic, I couldn't wait to wear them! Head to toe yesterday:

Remember my blind optimism last week when I declared that spring had arrived? Lies. All lies. Today, the sky was gray, the rain was falling and there was a distinct chill in the air. To stay cozy and warm, I piled on the layers and here's where I landed:

Even though it's a bit gray and still chilly in New York today, I'm ready for Spring! In honor of the new season, I've taken the liberty of retiring my closed toe shoes, neutral bag and winter coat, in favor of a lighter look. Top to bottom, here's what I'm wearing today:
What closet items are you breaking out this month? Do tell!
I got dressed this morning and was hoping for ease above all. I chose a few of my favorite staple pieces and then added interest (as I like to every day, let's be honest) with a little jewelry love and a pair of shoes that says business:

Women's Long Layering Tanks
With the heinous August heat firmly underway, it's THE perfect time to stock up warm weather staples, like my favorite Rib Knit tanks from Old Navy.
I wear these babies layered or solo, with skirts or jeans - they're beyond versatile and they fit so well.
Even at $12 (their full retail price), these are a steal but this Saturday, August 15th, head to Old Navy to snag tanks of your own for just $2! They'll be available in a variety of color choices including solid, stripe and print, but if the $1 flip flop promotion earlier this summer was any indicator, they won’t last long, so shop early!
TINY or in this case ITALICIZED print: *Please note this promotion is available in stores only with a limit of 5 per customer on select styles only while supplies last.
Summer is approaching and for me, that means an entirely necessary update to my flip flop wardrobe. While some may argue that Reef are the most comfortable or Old Navy gives you the most bang for your buck, all I hear is BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. If you live in flip flops as I do, it's ALL about Havaianas.
What differentiates Havs from the rest of the bunch is the spectacularly flexible and comfy rubber sole. That...and the fact that they're Brazilian. So, much like Gisele, they're above average in terms of attractiveness and sex appeal.
While they're a bit pricier than most other flips at $18 a pair, they'll last a lot longer than those OTHER brands (which tend to need replacing every summer.) I quite literally have had the same pair of black Havaianas for 5 years, though I commit to at least 2 new pairs each summer.

With all this talk of Octomom, my mind has turned to multiples lately. Multiples of the fashion variety, of course.
I don't know about you but when I find an item that I love, I tend to stock up. This has some pluses and minuses. While it's good to have multiples of staple items, if you buy too many, you risk looking the same everyday (which anyone who has seen me in a cardigan and long camisole can attest to.)

Here's a list of the multiples in my wardrobe currently:
- 25 Hanky Panky Thongs
- 12 J.Crew Cardigans (different colors/prints/styles)
- 10 Honeydew Mesh Boyshorts
- 5 DVF Wrap Dresses (various prints)
- 4 pairs of Old Navy Diva Skinny Jeans
- 4 American Apparel Tri-Blend Deep V Tees
- 3 Pairs of Low Top Converse All Stars
- 3 Gap Ultimate Push Up Bras
- 2 J.Crew Eliza Camisoles
- 2 Norma Kamali for Wal-Mart Batwing Sleeve Sweatshirts
- 2 Louis Vuitton Speedy's (Used to be four but I recently sold a red Epi 25 and a Damier 25)
- 2 Pairs of Uggs
What fashion multiples have you succumbed to? Leave a comment and share!

If you're in the market for cashmere, get thee to Old Navy tomorrow. Their Black Friday specials promise 50% off cashmere, denim, performance fleece and more. I'm currently digging this casual but still chic cashmere zip hoodie, originally $79.50.
To answer your likely question on quality - it's a nice mid-weight knit and the cashmere is decent but not spectacular. Still, for that price? Hard to beat. Happy Shopping!
