Ah, Black Friday. It's the perfect day to kick off my yearly Holiday Gift Guide, as there's no way in hell that I'd step foot in a store on this, the blackest of days. Instead, let's kick things off with one of my very favorite seasonal products from the most gift-able beauty line of all, Philosophy's The Gingerbread Man Hot Salt Scrub.
This delightful exfoliator heats things up, quite literally, once it hits the water, leaving skin toasty and silky smooth. Not to mention, it smells positively divine - like a nice spicy gingerbread!
Snag one for yourself and one for any gingerbread lover on your holiday list, they'll be sure to thank you.
There's nothing that I love more autumn so it's only apropos that I feel the need to slather my body in Philosophy's Caramel Apple high-foaming shampoo, shower gel& bubble bath.
I've already covered the basics about these 3-in-1's several times, so I almost feel like it's redundant to say that they really get the job as a shower gel without leaving skin stripped. But let's face it, the allure is all in the scent and Caramel Apple is amazingly true - you'll want to bite right into the bottle!
Save yourself a few calories (or hey, blow them on some pumpkin pie instead!) and lather up this Fall.
I'm a floral girl through and through, so as much as I love Philosophy's 3-in-1 shampoo, shower gel and bubble baths, I frequently lose interest after just a few uses. (There are lots of foodie scents in the line!)
Not so with the new Field of Flowers ($16/16 oz).
This gorgeous, flower-adorned bottle (but of course!) does TRIPLE beauty duty. I love it as a shower gel - the rich lather leaves my skin clean but not stripped of moisture. The heavenly scent of flowers doesn't linger on your skin, either - so if your perfume isn't a floral, no worries. It's also lovely as a bubble bath and works surprisingly well as a shampoo (especially if you have fine hair like mine.)
Few occasions coincide with the theme of "unconditional love" as beautifully as Mother's Day. So, this year, shower your mom with Philosophy's gorgeous new fruity white floral, Unconditional Love. Best layered, it's a scent that mom will love!
The finalists for the upcoming CEW Beauty Awards were announced late last week. The selections were chosen from a field of 550 products by more than 260 different brands!
Several of my personal faves made the list, including Ojon Tawaka™ "The Ball" (a fab exfoliator!), Philosophy Black Licorice Ultra-Rich Shampoo, Shower and Bubble Bath (smells just like the real thing!) and Aveeno Continuous Protection Sunblock Spray SPF 70™ (I take sunblock seriously, what can I say.)
Check out the full list - and remember, it's an honor just being nominated - here.
Our friends at Philosophy have a fab GWP happening now on site - choose from three generously sized goodies (above) with any purchase of $35 or more! While I love Philosophy Lip Shines, I'd probably snatch the Mimosa Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath...it smells EXACTLY like the real thing, thus it's EXACTLY what I need to get out of bed on a weekend morning.
Philosophy A Diet You Can Live With lets you indulge in crème brulée, pink frosted layer cake, and classic fudge cake—sans the calories and guilt. These high-foaming, sweet-smelling formulas contain a shampoo, shower gel, and bubble bath in one bottle. They are gentle enough for everyday use and provide a rich, moisturizing lather to cleanse and soften skin and hair.
Each bottle is a generous six ounces and the set makes the perfect Valentine's Day gift for yourself or a friend. I'm loving the Pink Frosted Layer Cake, personally! Get your set for $30.00 via philosophy at Sephora
Pardon the pun, but when it comes to skincare, oxygen is more than just hot air. In fact, when it's applied topically, oxygen is transported to the lower layers of the skin, reducing inflammation and resulting in increased elastin and collagen production and a clearer complexion. Check out the oxygen based products above for a quick fix!
Whether you're chilling at home in your PJ's (Dick Clark, anyone?) or spending the night partying like a rock star, one thing is for sure - the New Year is a time for celebration.
And what's a celebration without champagne? Toast the season with a few bubbly - inspired products this New Year's Eve. Happy almost-2009, all!
Few beauty brands are as eminently giftable as Philosophy, and this Holiday season is no different.
Whether you're shopping for an office Secret Santa, stuffing the stocking of your niece or sister or indulging your overworked friend in some pampering, Philosophy has a gift set for you this season.
My favorites of the collection are the new Celebrate! trio of champagne scented 3-in-1s (above, center) and The Holiday Cookbook (above, right), a set of six yum scented 2oz 3-in-1s that could be broken up into multiple gifts or spoil just one recipient.
