Beauty junkies everywhere received a bit of bad news in September – Prescriptives, a cult favorite line revered for its custom blend products, fantastic skincare and iconic Calyx fragrance, will cease department store distribution at the end of January 2010.
There's good news for diehards though, the brand wants to ensure that you, yes YOU, are able to secure your favorites for as long as they’re available, so they’ve launched a Twitter channel.
By following Prescriptives on Twitter, you’ll receive quick answers to as many product-related questions as their Customer Care team can answer You’ll also get the inside scoop on their Lustre Holiday color collection (think luxurious, shimmering color and gorgeous glimmering golds!) and as well as the latest news on Jillian Veran's (Prescriptives Director of Artistry) upcoming QVC appearances.

Spring Preview - Prescriptives
Yes, yes, I know...it's just January but in the world of beauty, spring collections are already here. On tap for Prescriptives (one of my favorites for their superb custom blend products, including foundation and tinted moisturizer) is a big push for custom blending, namely AllSkins. If you've never had the custom blend experience and have a hard time finding a foundation match, this is must-try.
Prescriptives has also revamped their UPick Refillable Compacts this spring- available in Small ($3), Medium ($6) and Large($6.50), they hit counters this April. Small holds a single eyeshadow ($14), available in 44 shades, while Medium holds four eyeshadows, two eyeshadows & one cheek color ($17.50, available in twenty shades) or two cheek colors. Large holds three cheek colors, six eyeshadows or a combination of the two.
